Default UPDATE / *PICS* ADDED: tC Viniati Spiler (Do you have it?)

I bought mine, going to get it installed soon -- I've heard that sometimes this wing can have slight "waves" on it. Meaning, it's not completely flat and when painted you can notice small imperfections. But I've also heard that it still looks great and the waves are only noticable if you're picky!

**Do you have the VINIATI SPOILER? If so, post of few pics for me and show it off! Thanks!**

UPDATE / HAD IT INSTALLED. LOOKS GREAT. I LOVE IT! Not the best setting for pix, but oh well.

The shop that installed mine said they had to do alot of work on the spoiler to get out the waves. I've seen some painted ones and the waves are really bad. Just have the shop spend a little extra time on it.

FYI I did search. Found a lot, but still wanted some more.

Thanks for posting the pics! Haven't seen those before here... Yeah, I've heard different things about the waves. I've heard it was only on 1st Generation versions of the spoiler, and 2nd is fixed.

I've also seen recent posts saying they love the spoiler, but there are "little" waves.

Can't seem to see if it's even worth it to get it put on -- are the waves dismissible, are they bad, are they not a big deal, a huge deal? Can't find straight answers...

How much $ to get it fixed? What did they do to get waves out?

THANKS!

well dubstyleeca mine was installed in early 2006 so i cant remember the cost. It was done with the rest of the ground effects kit and the front lip was also refined. so the price i really cant remember. I remember giving the parts to the shop and picking up the car when it was done so i don't know what he did to fix it. only that he said he had to spend a little more time on the spoiler so it would look smooth. I saw a Tc at a show with the same wing on and wow! was it wavy. so just ask your installer to try their best at making it smooth for you when you get it done. sorry i couldn't be of anymore help but it was so long ago.

no prob, thanks for the reply! hopefully the one u saw at the show was the 1st generation one, since i bought mine in late 08 / early 09 it should be 2nd gen now (which is supposed to be less, or not at all wavy).

what color car is it going on......black will show every imperfection much easier, where as white will show almost nothing.......silver will show a happy medium, where as red or crimson will show only in the right light......the body work to flatten is not more than say two hours to a pro.

great response! thanks so much. im talking to the body guy in the morn --

my car is i guess what you call "maroon". not the dark dark one that is almost black, but the red that sometimes looks purple in dark lighting (unfortunate side effect haha).

so 2 hours huh?
