Default K&N Cold Air Intake for xB2

Has anyone installed a K&N CAI on a 2008 or 2009 xB ? If yes, how well does it perform ?

Probably not much more than stock. Maybe 5-6 wheel horse power more but I've never seen anyone on here post a real dyno sheet.

You'll benefit more from it if you upgrade the entire exhaust system (from the header to the exhaust tip).

2nd that

a full Exhaust def will show an incruse in power.

I have the TRD intake and the Tsudo exhaust def made a diff but nothing crazy maybe 8+whp at most with both mod's done if that. I wann get the Weapon-R Header and S-pipe and scuba tank delete and def will see a nice incruse in low end torque and power over all.

do you think getting rid of the scuba tank, but still drive it smooth, would that increase fuel miealege? I have wondered for awhile...

I have the eBay exhaust kit which includes everything from the down pipe to the tip) and have noticed a decrease in gas milage.

There are only a few reasons:

1. I have been putting my foot more into the pedal lately.
2. There is an exhaust leak somewhere within the system (most likely).

For some reason, I haven't been getting great gas milage the past two tanks. Not sure as to exactly why, but I will let it go for another gas tank or two and see how it does. If it continues to be crappy, Im going to inspect the exhaust flange gaskets.

Straight pipe will be ridiculously loud and a loss of bottom end power. You would throw a CEL if you were to replace your stock exhaust manifold with aftermarket headers.

Does anyone else have any other links rating the K&N CAI ? I have a K&N now on my 2006 xB and works great. Just want to see from more sources what they think.

Is there a reason why you want to go with K&N? Personally I think its overpriced and its only SRI. I would go with the AEM intake because it uses an oil-less filter and draws cooler air from outside of the engine bay.
