Default Had my xb2 for a year now: pros and cons list

So I thouhgt it would be interesting to see what people like and dont like about there xb2

Me personally I like the pioneer headunit the best and the tyc tails I got when I bought the car, Yes i know in a way aftermarket but hey its a monthly payment lol. Plenty of room, tons of head space. Easy to drive.

Cons not a fan of the arm rest, clothe seats, simple dash and how the buttons on the steering wheel don't light up, and I hateeeeeee the backup light

Pros:

Roomy
Easy to Drive
Cheap (what other car can you get all this for a little over 17.5k) really good value!
Love the Gauges never go back to the traditional style
Comfortable, seats are perfect
Customizable like no other!
Preppy engine
Any sub bumps in the car got (2) 12" image dynamics idq's

Cons:

Tires sucks (can be taken care of)
Dome Lights sucks ($16 bucks for oznium dome light)
(1) cigarette lighter (got a splitter)
Headlights suck (Got HID's)

Overall I love my car wouldn't trade it for anything unless well.....it was a lambo.

Yes, I will repeat some items....

Pros:
-Nice Cruiser.
-Decent ride quality.
-Large inside.
-Dash dirties easily when touched with dry hands (nasty dead skin cells).
-Door handles are nice.
-Cruise control is very predictable.
-Cheap gas (my old car required 91+)

Cons:
-Eats too much gas for the amount of power/performance available.
-Traction Control stops at 33 MPH.
-The fabric on the back of the front seats suck.
-Headlights suck.
-Head rests suck.
-Pricey for what you get compared to xB1.
-Seat doesn't recline up and down well (the up part atleast).
-I wanted to get the RS6.0, missed out =P
-Rear wiper.
-The iPod jack is outside of the center armrest (I'm aware you can move it, but you shouldn't have to).
-Because of the iPod comment above, the iPod cable get's pinched if I pull it into the center armrest thing.
-Arm rest sucks.

As you can see, I'm a very negative person. =D

I really love most everything about the car... My only cons would be noises/creaks, especially when cold outside. Also, I wish the stock suspension was a bit more "level", without the need for lowering springs. Way too high in the rear.

Other then that, I have no other gripes.

Anybody think the person above me sounds like a troll... I mean, cheap gas? wtf? Compression ratio/octane has nothing to do with quality of gas.

Tracking control stops at 33mph? It definitely stays on all the time... What you talking about?

Pricey for what you get compared to xb1? Last time I looked, the additions of more room, air bags, all disc brakes and more safety features makes me think the money is worth it...

Negative is an understatement!

Yah i have to agree this car eats a lot of gas...dunno why...I mean if you travel on the freeway 80% than yah your going to get pretty good mileage. I drive about 50 highway 50 city and i get about 22-25 mpg. My dads avalon v6 268 hp gets about the same mileage as the xb...and has about 100 more hp.

Overall its a great car regardless of the con's. Ive been in a lot of cars and this one just sticks on the most.

I find it interesting how many people try to play the gas card when I look on the xb1 forums people are averaging 26-30... Yes there are ones who get over 30, but hell, I average 29-31 driving however I want with xb2. Everybody is different with their driving style, yes, but the fact is that they don't return that big of a difference, on this forum that I see. It just seems in the end, the xb1 and xb2 don't have that big of a mileage difference.

But that only applies if comparing the two to each other. Compared to other cars it may be a little thirsty, but still... It's not bad at all.

Hold the traction control button down for five seconds, traction control stays off until you start the car again.
It's in your manual.

I believe that one of the main reasons that the XB gets lower gas mileage than what most people would expect for the power produced may have something to do with the Catalytic converter. Have you seen the Cat on the XB2? its huge.... and the XB has a very low carbon footprint. SO, the more exhaust being restricted, the lower the gas mileage.. Makes sense to me anyway.

Nothing like getting the size and features of an suv without the price or fuel economy. My best is 31mpg, worse 22. Sure I could get 46.6 or more with my xa, but its a smaller car, smaller engine.

ive had my xb for about 5 months and have over 20k miles. no problems except for the tpms that a tire place broke and had to pay the dealer to reprogram it. i dont use the driver armrest at all. has plenty of room for me and my 2 boys and enough room for all my work stuff. mpg's is good too, averaging around 23-26 mixed driving. overall very happy with it.

I love my 09 xB2 as much as my weekend driver...08 Lexus...hehe

I like how they have almost everything standard that you could look for in the base model. Although since I was spoiled by my 08 Lexus...I managed to make the xB2 more enjoyabe by adding a few mods...lol...I won't show pics yet of what I've done until the car is fully modified...haha...I'll just say that I've already spent 13k on my xB2 that I picked up on Dec. 26th, 2008...haha lol

Cons is the rear back up light and the 4spd on my automatic...they should have made it a 5spd so it would get better milage...lol...but like my friends that have driven the xB2...they say its peppy so that's good...haha
