I was trying to change my license plate bulbs but I wasn't sure how to do it.
Do I just pull out the plastic casing and replace bulb? (the one where I unplugged)

 

Im pretty sure your supposed to turn the socket, but i have to try again tomorrow on mine cause its to stubborn

i used pliers, it made it 10x's easier butttttt i have a cf hatch so i think i might have more room to work with

turn it CCW not CW

 

yeah...you turn about a quarter turn CCW to loosen it...use pliers and get a good grip or you might crack the plastic.

 

I had to use a pliers as well. Piece of cake with pliers...

This does remind me how I need to change my plate bulbs, for some reason I thought it was done from the outside by taking off the plastic lenses. Guess I need to do some more research.

 

Awesome, I was able to change my bulbs today.

Like you guys suggested, use pliers then turn counter clockwise. Done.

I will try to post a decent photo. My camera is not so good w/low light.

 

mine wont budge and i have busted one of the plastic connectors =( any other ideas?

Mine were in there pretty dang good. I tried using pliers and ultimately broke 2 of the plastic holders. I ended up going to the dealer and buying 2 more but on the positive side if I have to get them out again I know they'll come out.

Just break them, take the broken piece down to the dealer and order a few more.
