New Guy...08 SW xB
I have been lurking in the shadows for a little bit now while I was trying to decide if I wanted to get an xB or not. Well today was the day and I picked up a 08 SW so I figured I would join and say whats up. I already have a long grocery list of things I want to pick up, just want to wait until the weather warms up before the fun can begin. See you around.

Welcome to ScionLife and congrats on the new xB. Any chance we can get a sneak peak of what's on that list of yours? Also, make sure to check trdsparks.com, they sell official scion accessories for a lot less than the dealer.
Thanks all!!! I am going to start with some bronze 18inch Tenzo wheels, I have not really decided on how I am going to lower the car yet and am open to suggestions.(Keep in mind it is my daily driver) Will pick up the usual intake, exhaust, header... some carbon fiber goodies... body kit and so on. I bought the car with no options so the possibilities are endless... I had a Mr2 and a lancer before my xB so modding cars is something that I have always enjoyed and I am sure my xB will not let me down in that department.
well if u want an aggressive ride to which u can adjust to ur preference i would suggest ksport coilovers. but it also depends on how much u want to spend on suspension. I know the DF's and NF's r popular with our xb's.
Wheels make the biggest visual impression, and it sounds like you have found what you like. Your drop options depend on what you want and the relationship of wheel width, offset, and tire size.
It all depends on what you're willing to spend, and what you want out of your xB. Coilovers will give you the most adjustability, but also cost the most. If you just want good looks and a decent ride, then springs will accomplish that. It's all a matter of compromise. If you absolutely plan on a lip kit for a daily driver, then you will probably be best served with a mild drop. You will get a decent drop with the Eibach Pro-Kit, TRD springs or the Tanabe NF210's. The NF210's will even out the ride height best and give a very comfortable compliant ride, but they have the softest spring rates of the shallow drops so while they ride best, they aren't as stiff when it comes to spring rates for handling purposes.
I've seen people on this site that had heavy drops with lip kits, then decided to change to the NF's after having too many scraping problems with their lip kits.
Another factor is how flush you want your wheels to be with the fenders... the more flush you are, the more rubbing problems you will have with a heavy drop.
Check out the various threads on the Suspension & Handling forum and the Tire & Wheel forum to get an idea of which direction you think you might like to go. When you narrow your decision down a little bit, I can help you out much more. BTW, which Bronze Tenzo wheels do you like?

I am going to get the Tenzo Type M. 18x8 with a 45 offset with either 235 or 225 / 40 series. I am still up in the air about the springs/coilovers. Was thinking about the NF's as I believe I have seen your glowing reviews of them, and I am planning on getting a lip kit. Thanks for the help Cionide and let me know what you think of the wheel package I am planning on getting, I am pretty sure I have everything correct but you seem to know what you are talking about.
