I turn it to the two dots on the left side near defrost. Then the air is less noticeable.

Don't always leave it on reciruclate because you will start to get a bad smell from the a/c if you do.

I had this same problem and I almost always leave it off now and just leave it on defrost to blow the air upward.

^ LOL I wish that was all it was. No but seriously I did have that problem this past summer. I left the a/c on while it was recirculating and there was a "mildew" smell coming from the vents. It was pretty gross.

This is all I do now and before I turn the vehicle off I just hit the recirculate button. It's been working fine so far.

I think you need to slip a ferret down there with some Clorox bleach wipes. Mildew killed, problem solved.

Another good reason to leave it on fresh air is to prevent your windows from fogging up. One thing I do to prevent mildew from the A/C is before arriving at my destination, I turn the A/C off and let it blow all of that cold air out. It seems to work wonders for preventing the smell. I usually try to give it at least one minute to blow the cold air out.
