Default I has Question

Ok Im currently on 195/60/15 on a 15x6.5" wheel with s-techs. I am wondering if my next tires should be 205/55 or 205/50. I auto-x and really toss the box into corners, I also tend to carry a lot of crap every now and then. So what should I do?

When I did the tire calculator, the 205/55 is .55% too slow and the 205/50 are 2.83% too fast.

People have said that my 195/60's are closer to where the xB's speedo actually is. So would running a 205/50 actually be right around that?

Is there anyone with experience that can help me here.

The only thing that I can say is that unless you're really low, a 50 series on a 15" has a bit too much wheel gap for my taste.

So you think the 55 is best?

how much do you auto-x i've run 205/55/15 before it was alright i'm actually going wider this year though. really it can also depend on the tire you buy.

not sure how sticky you want to go then but you might want to consider saving for a dedicated set of wheels and tires.

Yeah I was considering get a dedicated track set, but I would still need to know what tire size to get.

well a dedicated set depends on what wheel size you go with and offset.

I currently run Kumho Ecsta, will probably go with a similar of not the same tire. I wont have a dedicated track set for a long while so I will be using the same 15x6.5 wheels

I'd go w/50's price will probably be better (slightly) and you won't notice a heck of a lota difference (ride quality & visually) except if compared over the 60's you are running right now! So grab a set of 205/50/15 with a nice performance type of pattern and call it a day! I used to have Kuhmo 711 in that size and they worked fine as a good all around budget tire.
