Tire mounting
Whats the consensus on where to have tires installed? I'm going to get tires and have them installed on my new rims. Anywhere I should not go? I don't want my new rims screwed up. I'm thinking about having the Scion dealer do it. Maybe where its done is not that much of a concern with todays equipment, I don't know. Thanks.
Any shop should be able to mount tires without causing damage to the wheel. Don't worry about it too much. Unless you're looking to stretch a tire, just go wherever's cheapest.
go whereever is cheapest ... hmmm horrible idea if you ask me ... there are shops that have different machines ... i work with americas / discount tire and the toyota dealership actually comes to me to mount anything larger than a 17" .... go to a shop that has the latest tire changes and it doesnt hurt to ask if they will clean the duckheads before changing your tires ... also it doesnt hurt to ask if they have covers for the tire bar ... shops that dont have experience can easily scratch wheels ... so be very cautious and if you have one of our stores around go there ... if they mess a wheel up they will replace it ... ____ happens ... tires.com
