Default New to the Scion Lifestyle

Well I have always liked the Xb, but never got around to purchasing one until last Saturday. Walked into the dealer ship, test drove it, signed papers, and I was out onto the streets with the Brand New BSP 2009 X-BEAST, hahah. I will be looking to mod it, so please show me the way of the Xb, Thank You.

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to the family. Any ideas on which way you wanna go with modding it?

Yeah. I am really liking the 5 axis body kit.I am getting ready to order my spoiler and black 20" rims. The first mod I have done so far were my HIDs. I want to put my old 12" sub in with the edesign hidden box. Thinking about getting the pioneer avic-z3 for the HU. If anyone have any other suggestions just shout them out.

20% tint all around seems to work on the BSP... It blacks out the back and rear windows pretty good and makes the fronts semi dark too...

So you mean tell them to put 20% over what my natural tint is already or I should make it 20% total? The dealer ship told me that the front is 50 and my rear is 35.

5% will pretty much black out all the windows... How are FL cops on tinted front windows?

^^ That is a good question. 5% in MN is a pull over.

I just got 20% over stock earlier today on all the "legal" windows. I love it and it makes the front seem a little darker too. You have to put your face up to the glass to see in the back seat. trying to see in the hatch is even harder (near impossible). The guy said if I went darker I wouldn't be able to see out at night. They only offered 20%, then 5% was the next darkest.

Cali blows i know when i lived there i had 5% on my civic and got a big ol ticket. But when i had my fullsize chevy i had 20% on the front windows and 5% on the back never had a prob. I think in Cali its the kid of car you drive. But in Fl i actually asked a cop and he told me that the legal limit is 20% but if you have darker they will not mess with you unless your doing something wrong like speeding or driving like a idiot then they will use the tint as an excuse to pull you over. There are tons of cars in Fl with blacked out windows.

I had 5% on the back window of my old truck over the stock and i didnt have a problem at night. i guess if you were where it was really dark and no street lights you would.

Yeah, I hear ya. I have a feeing I could've gone darker. I haven't driven it at night yet (sun's still out here). But I'm totally satisfied.

I also hear you about cars vs. trucks and cops. I think a big lifted truck with illegal tint and a loud exhaust would get away 10:1 over a modified import. I have nothing against big trucks. They look cool to me, just not my thing.
