Coilover "max height"...I need your opinion
Ok so this might sound DUMB but I would like to know what the maximum height that is achievable with coilover's. The reason being is that I obviously do not want to scrape, rub, or rip my rear bumper off when I hit pot holes the size of alaska on the freeway.
I know that the max height will obviously not be as high as stock, but would it be anywhere close to the height of say TRD spring? Or will it be just a little bit lower?
I am trying to either go with Tein or Progress depending on which one has the "highest" height. The reason being is that the mountain roads I drive at school are REDICULOUS is the fact that they DIP and then climb real quick, they bank, counter bank, they become gravel every now and then, and the roads I drive to work (I-66...blownxa could chime in on the poopiness of this road) are just super crappy.
So while I want the car to be lower than stock, I do not want it as low as DF's or Tein S-techs...
I hope this makes sense,
in good regards,
Regis

I know that the cash route would make sense, but the thing is for track days I wanna slam it, and especially during the summer when I drive relatively flat roads. Maybe now slam it but I like to have "play" with my suspension.
I was going to get Koni Yellow's regardless, I already have the bushing "mod" and I hear that the TRD's a relatively stiff, but I want super stiff but not super low.
Does that make sense?
Thanks for the advice though.

Bushings, multiple swaybars, and less tire wall will help stiffen the suspension. Also, stretched tires help keep the wall of the tire from rolling when corning hard. Kevlar straps will also help keep the suspension planted on the rear torsion bar. From what I understand you can get the TRD RSB and couple it with the Whiteline (the one you can get from the echo) and have ubber rear suspension tightness. Double check the fitment on the bar though... not much room to play with iirc.
cool thanks. Yea I was looking a Bridgestone potenza re-11's but they are a bit wider (195) and skinnier (50) but they are supposed to have no sidewall roll. I am planning on getting 11.5 pound rims that are only 6.5 inches wide but they are still 15 inch's so cornering should be amazing with a stiff setup and a wider track on the ground without sacrificing my sidewall's from rolling during turns.
1.5inches from stock? that sounds perfect. I would prolly run 1.8 inches to lessen the load on the suspension.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated!
