Abs sensors necessary on trd's?

Abs sensors necessary on trd's?
i got hooked up with a set of 18" trd's for my box. I came across the description below on a site that was selling the rims brand new:
"ABS Sensor Wire Bracket included & required for installation. Bracket provides protection of stock rear ABS sensor wires when running wider TRD tire & wheel package. Bracket provides protection of stock rear ABS sensor wires when running wider TRD tire & wheel package."
I was hoping someone could shed some light on this. Will I need to have these sensor brackets installed? U_NV_ME is looking into it but says he didn't have them on his xb when the wheels were installed.
