Default need DIY for polishing wheels

i search but of course i couldnt find any DIY. I just got a set of used volks that just need to have the lip polished. Can anyone point me in the right direction whether i should pay someone to do or if i could do it with some effort?

hey wuts up dude! havnt seen you in a while. baller! volks? which ones? and i know there was a diy on polishing wheels here on SL. the search box is not accurate on finding things.

i got some volk GTC's for a killer deal! The car should be outta the shop soon looking better than ever with a new kami front bumper and side skirts (accident wrecked old ones) and possibly...just possibly a turbo kit in a few short months! big changes in 09!

thats good to hear...my car has been sitting at ptuning since last thursday. getting a tranny rebuild again and some other goodies. what shop is working on your car?

Re-Vision auto salon...i was tboned a month and a half ago so there repairing it!

yeah there youngflyer.... try searching for a thread for wheels by TCPete... he did a very nice diy / step by step posted of polishing a set of BBS's for his tc that were very hot... think that thread started around beginning of March and went for a few months on here. Search for his threads If you cant find it let me know.

i found it...wow looks like a lot of work im going to look into how much it costs to have it done by a pro!

well just different levels of sanding is all it really is. the wheels Pete picked up were in dire need of major TLC.... yours may not be like that.
