Default Broken ABS Sensor

Hi guys, new XA owner. Somehow my front passenger ABS sensor got ripped off. I was wondering how much is it to replace it?

you should be sure to tell people the year and which transmission you have to try and eliminate any speculation as to which particular part you need.

anyway, looking at this diagram, it looks like it is a $240 dollar part.

after looking at the diagram it looks like i still have the abs sensor on, but the wire that connects to the brake is the part that is ripped. does that mean i still have to replace the entire sensor line?

it depends on whether or not that is part of the whole assembly or not. i don't see a separate part number for it, which would lead me to guess it is.

ABS is a great safety feature. i wouldn't wait to repair something like that because it is something that can save your butt in an emergency maneuvering situation. you could try looking for it in a junkyard.

also, a little searching found this part for you, not sure if it'll work but:

If there is enough wire to splice it back together you can just solder/crimp new wires in place. If the wires are damaged right at where they enter the sensor you'll have to replace the whole unit.

The part you want is: Sensor, Speed, Front RH 89542-52010

$168.60 here

Probably? It looks like the major difference is the stock Echo one didn't have one of the retaining clips, but replacement ones did. However I can't find pictures of the two to compare so I could be wrong.
Bring yours and compare it to the Echo one, if the ends look the same and the wires are the same length it should work. The internals of the sensor will be the same.

should work, the part numbers are the same, but you can put in your VIN number and get it specifically for your car if you want.
