Default Coilovers

I was looking into a set of coilovers for my xA, and after chekcing into the Tein Basic Dampers I found that they are the same part. My question is if other companies are doing the same thing, just making one set of coilovers for both the xA and xB. So if I buy a set of coilovers that are said to fit the xB will they fit on an xA with no problem????

Well the Tanabe coilovers for xB and xA have different part numbers, so with them you need the proper set for your application.

Hmm...when i looked up info on the tein basic dampers on the xA and xB they have different part numbers.

It's best to call up the company directly and ask.

Most likely you would want to send a email inquiry to see if you can use stuff the xb & put it on the xa, that would be my best bet if you want the best answers.

I wouldn't think the xA and xB part numbers would be the same. Doesn't the xA have shorter length shocks/struts/springs? I know the control arms and rear beam are the same, but the height/lengths are different.

Eh it'll work but the quoted drops will not be the same. If springs are the same for both A and B so I don't know how that would work if the struts are different. Oh well. But as previously stated , call the manufacturer.

If this is true it'd be lower in the xB stock so the xA coilovers would lower the perch more , and if thats true all the xB guys will be buying the xA stuff.
