Default Does anyone have aftermarket rims on tC with +40 offset?

Anyone put rims on their tC with a +40 offset? I know they will fit but I want to know if they will hang out to far from the wheel well. I'm also concerned with the possibility they might rub if I put on springs... Anyone?

I've got 18x7.5 with a 35mm offset. 225/40/18 tires & tein s-techs. I've rolled the front fenders up some and they still rub a little. 40mm offset should be good, maybe 215/40 or 215/35 tires if you want to be safe. I've got a picture in my gallery if you want to see what it looks like.

Ok back to the topic, how wide do you plan on having the wheels? As long as the wheels are not wider than 8" you should be fine with no rubs, I would recommend 7.5" wide with 235/40 tires...sound good to anyone else?

should be ok with anything less that a 2" drop with 18" anything more than that drop or 19" rims i would expect some kind of rubbing maybe not on turns but rubbing

Honestly if I go to an 18" wheel I'm probably going to shoot for a 225/45/18 tire then just have the speedometer recalibrated. I ran 205/40/17s on my old protege5 and the michigan pothole infested roads reminded me often that it wasnt a smart idea...

I'm running 19x8.0's with a +40 offset in the rear. The lips close to 3" deep.
Its also been lowered with S-Techs, and I have had no problems thus far. Great ride, considering that I'm rolling on 215/35-19's.
