need help with coilovers
I just bought some cheap coilovers from ebay and the front ones will not fit over the strut has anyone else had the same problem or have heard of this problem. Thanks in advance
Yes , what you have to do is remove the little brass piece halfway down the strut , do so with a screwdriver and hammer , do not worry it is not dangerous on these vehicles , after that you slip the sleeves on then tighten them to the shock body , after that you replace the brass cap with a few light taps of the hammer. ala zam!!! oh and so you know unlike what the ebay listing says the lowest you can possible go is just over 3 inches up front and about 2.5 or so in the back. good luck and post pics when finished!!!
I was just wondering what is the ride quality like w/the cheap setup I wanted ground control but they said thye had protype's and they didnt work so if you could post pics then i could decids on coilovers or just springs
Thank you Sassy

I'll post some pics , the lower you go the crappier the ride but i'm used to slammed cars so it's not that bad , worse part is the spring rate is high.

Since this pic I lowered it about .5 all the way around
