Default need to see some pictures

I currently have the TRD 18"s on my box now. Hate them. In three years I have bent two of them in just daily driving. I've decided there just isn't enough sidewall for me, so they gotta go. They ride horribly.

I have decided I'm going to downsize some, but I want to see some pictues of others' boxes with 16" or 17" so I can decide which size I am going to get.

Post me a pic of yours.

Thanks!

Can you post any suspension mods you've done? I'm running 18s, otherwise I'd post some pics for you. Wheels will change the way the car drives and handles, but there are several aspects of the suspension that would make driving 18s for daily driving acceptable.

Also, what kind of handling are you looking for?

no suspension mods. still rolling on stock springs and struts.

not really looking for handling. ust trying to eliminate the pothole magnets. the TRD's bend way too easy for me.

What I would do... change out your endlinks with energy suspension. Upgrade the lower control arm bushing as well as the rear trailing bushings with energy suspension. Then, roll on some old school 15 or 16s. Here's a few goodies...

Schmidt Modern Line
BBS Mesh
XXR 513 or 501 (yeah, I went there)

its not just tire size, its also the structure of the rims, 5 spokes have large gaps, which is where your bending them.

mine are 17x7 on 205/40R17 and i have hit alot of the worst construction roads in orlando which i have no issue

my thoughts exactly, OCA, on the spoke gaps. 18's are not meant to be 5 spokes. that's why i'm looking to downsize a size or two. i've been eyballin some Motegi 5 spokes that have pretty thick spokes. just can't decide on size. i ran 17's on another car and had no problems, but they were 8 spokes. makes quite a difference in strength.

but before i can decide, i want to see some other peoples 16's or 17's. i just want to see some real life sidewall profiles with the xB. i've looked at a few online wheel places that have a vehicle customizers or show how a specific tire size looks on wheels and it is no real help.

so again i ask that someone post or email me some pictures.

Well it also has to do with the wheel.I run a 17x8 with a 205-40 tire and my wheels have gotten slight bends from the smallest bumps.Im running a 2 piece wheel i belive it is aluminum
