Default TRD Lowering Spring issue..

So about 4000-4500 miles ago I purchased/installed some TRD lowering springs for my xB1. My brother has the exact same springs, and for some reason his car sits much lower (about an inch). Everything seems to match up fine, but I am still confused why it's sitting higher than his, granted he has had his current springs on the car since it was purchased (57,000 miles ago).

However, he said that when he put springs on his old xB, it was immediately lower than how my car is sitting. We are not sure what the issue is, so I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge about this type of thing..

Springs usually sag a little bit over time.

Especially since he had his for almost 60K.

Look at my second paragraph.. He put brand new springs on his old xB and it was almost tucking tire. Same TRD brand spring, and it was immediately lower than how my car is sitting right now.

Thanks for the clarification.

In that case, check everything again. Make sure he put the fronts where the fronts go and rear to where the rears go.

Also are you both on stock shocks? wheels? I have the TRD springs w/ the TRD shocks and the setup is more of a mild drop and doesn't come close to "tucking tire"

yeah, the trd springs wont come close to tuckin tires...
I know you say "brand new" but is there a chance that he did he get his springs used from a retailer, its possible that someone cut a coil off? Or maybe, long shot, he was given TRD springs for another car?

should have noticed a drop at once, then after about 30 days, the springs should settle into their final drop..
now, one thing to check on... when your bro did his drop, was he carrying a lot of extra weight for the first month, so that the springs would have settled lower then yours?
Also, make sure that all your springs are seated correctly, as stated, make sure that rears are on the rear, and the fronts on the fronts, make sure your dead coils are on bottom, and open coils on top, and make sure that your fronts are really seated right, and you haven't damaged the top hat..

after that, are you both on the same rim and tire size? because if you are not, then you will both have a different ride height.
