So I went to stop at walmart near by real quick today. As I get out of the car when I get home I hear this hissing noise. My first instinct was that it was my tire. I ran to get a spray bottle filled w/ soappy water. As I sprayed the whole tire, the wall of the tire and the threads of the tire, I saw huge buddles coming out on the threads of the tire. Walkmart wasn't that far away, and I know i didn't run over anything sharp. My question is do u think this will be covered under warrantee?

 

um you might have run over something earlier, and then it finally gave out or punctured the tire.

 

this really suck, my friend alwasy told me my front right tire looked low but i never gave it that much attention. No I have to it plugged.

 

tires are wear-n-tear, doubt its covered under warranty. i thought it would trigger the tire pressure sensor if your tire was low. good luck, these low-profile 17" tires are expensive.

 

have it patched not plugged...

hmm i wonder if the tire pressure warning would kick on, its leaking really slowly

 

the tire pressure sensor detect by rpm of the wheels so it would know if it was messed even a little.

 

so u have to be in motion for it to detect anything?

 

Don't buy the oem replacement potenza's, they are about $135+ each, just buy some other comparable brand which will probably be better all around for $80ish!

 

i think im just going to patch it, i just took out the trunk mat and it looks like it will be a B.... to put back (i have the OEM sub)

 

If it's not a sidewall leak/puncture, your tire will be absolutely fine with a patch.

 

update for those who care I went to pep boys and bought this tire repair kit. It turned out great! No leaks! I even tested it again w/ the soappy water.

 

is it the spray kit that is in a can that injects into your valve stem?
