FIrst of I wanna thank
Tanabe-for making the springs
Bleek-for convincing me to get them springs
and everybody else.
Special big thanks to BigBaby for handing a helping hand, if it wasnt for his muscle i would'nt had accomplished the DIY spring install.
Well beign a novice both BibBaby and myself at car work we tackled the job with out hisitation and were determined to get the job done.
We did the drivers front side first. We jacked up the box and and rested it on 2 ton jack stands. after the tires were removed we went ahead and removed the two bolts on the struts. I recommend to remove the smaller bolt or the 3rd bolt first then the two big bolts.
We then romoved the 3 nuts on the top after some muscle the strut came off.
The nut on the strut was removed and the spring came off. Replaced with the new spring and put the strut assembly back on. After both sides were done we lowered the car and an IMMEDIATE difference was noticed, the springs lowerd the xb immediately. The new drop gave me the biggest smile ever and i was more in love with my xb.
We then jacked up the back on 1 side a time with out the jack stands.
Loosed the one nut pushed down on the tire and the spring came off. Replaced the new spring. After both sides were done we stared and praised at out accomplishment.
We went for a test drive. I noticed an IMMEDIATE difference backing out of the garage. Once on the road I noticed how easy it was to turn the xb. The everyday route that i take was a better route. The bumps were more fun to drive on (xcpet the big bumps).
The handling has improved significantly. Im impressed at the setup and the low stance. When I used to get out of the xb there was a big long delay before my foot hit the ground when I exited the xb. .now my foot is on the ground as soon as I exit.
Took us from 2:30-6 with a 30 min pizza break and test drive.
Overall the xb looks, handles, and feels better.
Tanabe df210's-- fuji tested, fuji approved.

have to admit, lonely, it's nice doing work yourself...even if it wasn't my box. we'll do mine soon. i'm sold on the DIY idea.
that tanabe drop is wicked
. fuji's ride is smooth and man does it look nice.
now let's all cross our fingers so our Scion brother can get his rim situation handled and he can ride around with a sweet drop on some sweet rims.
