Default My Daily wheel review

I came accrossed these rims last night in my ongoing search for the perfect wheel for my TCM XB.

What do you guys think of this rim? And Fuji, I know your out there, how do you like them?

http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?w...wheelmodel=GTR

I am thinking they would be nice as a 17 x 7 .........

Let the feedback begin.....

I think it depends on you. What are you looking for? What are you looking to get out of the rims? YOu want attention. You want something a little different that looks stock?

Personally I think they are rather plain and look like stock wheels you would get on any car out there. But thats just me. Not bad looking just plain for my taste. Rather traditional.

Personally I would go with a dark wheel on the TCM xB. The only reason I didn't get TCM was I already had a set of silver SSRs that go better with BOP.

Default MOMO

I think the consensus so far is a NO on these Momos. I just saw them mocked up with a 4 bolt pattern and I don't even like the look anymore.

I definitely agree that a dark rim would set off a TCM right. Can you guys make any suggestions for a dark 17'' rim that I can get with tires for around $1,000.

I was originally thinking about this rim, what do you guys think?

Thanks for all the input and help.

Has Fuji become an authortiy because he speaks in the 3rd person?

I like those, but I'd have to see them on a box. They look like they belong on an American sports car.

Default Wheels

If you go to the Pep Boys site, you can select your vehicle, then the wheels you want to see on it. I have a R.S. 2.0 and after selecting the vehicle, then wheels, then visualize wheels, I was able to select custom color to get the yellow. You have several brands and selections for wheels. You can also lower the vehicle to see what it looks like lowered on your wheels. I picked American Racing chrome 15" 686 wheels. They just looked better with the yellow. And I wanted to keed the smoother ride of the 15's. I have had my wheels a week and have had very positive feed back. Best site I have found to see what wheels will look the best on your color XB.

lava is talking about those unforgiving pot holes...i.e the FDR south is nothing but bumps...the BQE is construction hell and the LIE is just as bad.

Default gotta know

The entire city is a big pot hole. Just go 50 miles an hour in the city and I guarantee you won't feel anything.......smmooooottttthhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

No for real, how do you think 215/40/17's are going to feel on stock suspension especially driving in NYC?

And how much better would the same wheel and tire setup feel on a comfortable 1''-2'' drop, again based on NYC driving conditions?

they look like enkei cp1. elegant but ultimately boring. I agree i would go w/ a darker color. maybe a konig opal color or the hyper black of adr. Or something similat to whats on the tc. Good luck on the hunt

Default It's done

I went with the Momo's. I flipped flopped back and forth and ultimately the Momo's won out. At the end of the day, the elegance translates to a strong as !@#$ looking rim.
