i get a weird noise coming from my front end when i first take off in the morning. it's kinda like youre getting two parts engaging just as you start forward motion. i doesnt sound like metal on metal, its more subdued but still noticeable. any ideas?

 

I have the same thing, but I don't know what it is. It only seems to happen when the car hasn't been driven for awhile - like overnight and it only happens once during the first forward movement. After I backup out of the garage then put it in first and start to accelerate that's where I hear it.

yeah i think its the abs system kicking in

 

as long as its not something serious. i never heard it on my old car, but then again it was probably because it was older generation ABS. thanks, guys/gals(don't want to seem gender biased)
