I would like to lift the box 1-3 inches does anyone have any suggestions?

 

Get a set of Dubs.

 

actually. that's about it.. bigger diameter wheel/tire. There's no aftermarket parts, AFAIK to raise the box.

 

i'd like to see it done (hope that's a tip of encouragement )

iono, probably go to a '4 wheeler' or other jeep shop and ask about it.....

and after they stop laughing, see if you can get some info out of em...

whatever the matter longer struts are in order go to a suspension company and get something made tehn all ya gotta do is get another susp company to make longer springs, try fabtech or something along those lines.

 

What about the Pioneer demo xb? That thing is lifted and has four wheel steering.

Its used for sound off comps and not meant to be driven on the street, let alone the freeway. The axles are chain-driven, much like ATVs.

 

Depending on the amount of lift, minimally, you'll need longer lower control arms, longer shocks front and rear, longer springs, longer half shafts, camber plates up front to reduce the positive camber should the lower control arms not be log enuff, longer brake lines, a skid plate for the rear beam axle, a skid plate for the gas tank, a longer e-brake cable, mods to the steering rack, and who knows what else. And that's just the major stuff off the top of my head.

 

All I'm looking to do is lift the box a few inches not create a monster truck.....lol

 

Damn, should've looked into it a little more. I thought they were getting all nuts and throwing an xb body on a jeep chassis, or something to that effect. Either way it looks cool.

problem is the shocks arent long enough to allow much length change.

 

it sound like it would be difficult at best. i wouldnt trust the box any higher. might roll like a suzuki sidekick

 

mount the body to an old 4wd tacoma chasis
