Largest spacers you can run?
Whats the largest spacer i could go with to where i wont run into any problems. I got a hookup on my wheels and the offset kinda sucks. I will be ordering the one ton garage shims and then i wanna space out the wheels as much as i can with the fenders without causing any kind of hazard to my car. Thanks in advance!
It depends on rim/wheel size. I'm running 3/4 inch spacers one mine.
I have 215/45/17 with 33 offset.
Top is flush, but it sticks out just a little to far on the bottom... the mud flies up all over the rear bottom of the fender and bumper.

safely?
20mm is usually the biggest hubcentric "Spacer" that is made...
Anything larger is an Adapter (spacer that bolts on to th eexisting hub bolts and has its own hub bolts sticking out that your wheel then bolts on to...
Those are any where from 20mm (usually 25mm) and up...
People will say that the larger the spacer the more you decrease the life of your wheel bearings... but, if this was the case, then so would getting wheels with a proper offset for the car (to make flush)...
as long as the spacer / adapter is hubcentric it is perfectly fine to run on the car...
personally... i do not like adapaters since you have 4 other points that can fail...
(wheels coming off is not fun at all, especially on the track... someone in a Golf lost a wheel on the track infront of me once... not cool)

where can you get an adaptor? Im looking to space out about 4 inches or so ( make flush with wiedbody kit ) but want my car to remain safe. And would this be an easy DIY or would i want to use a dealer to do it so its warrantied and done correctly?
