Default Rollin' on Dubs

Got dubs? I finally do. I'm sooo glad I didn't get 18's.

I'm going to post some pics of what it takes to make these fit. It was not just a bolt on.

I don't care if you don't like it. If you have nothing good to say, just say nothing.

wow those rims are blinding!!! Very nice!!! Is it just me or has you're ground clearance severely increased? If it has, I would take it slower around corners because your gravity center could have moved making you're box much more prone to rollovers. I always have the feeling that my box is gonna roll even with stockies on let alone those.

VERY NICE THOUGH. What brand???

The ride height has increased by about 1.5" over stock. I would like to drop it 1" or 1.5" to get it back down to the same height as stock. That should tuck them just a little.

Ride is a little rougher, you feel much smaller bumps. I won't say its bad. ( I did have a 4x4 Ram on 38's before, so this is still Cadillac compared to that.)

The rub is pretty much gone. This is not something for everyone. It took quite a bit of trimming, removing the rear mudflap thingy, and quite a bit of work with the 5lb sledgehammer. I'm not quite done, I still need to undercoat everything on the front. No rub while driving, very very little at full lock. The back is pretty close, I finally put four people in it monday. It rubs just a little on the inside of the rear tires. (only with a car full of people) I will fix that this weekend.

I will put pics up on my site when its all done.

Default Pictures?!?!

Don't take this the wrong way HOTLAVA, but your post means nothing without pics.

I looked all over for the info before I got the dubs. Most of what I found is posts like yours. "I've got ______________. No pics though. Maybe some pic of a car and no info.

All I wanted was "this is what I had to do to make them fit." Be sure I will post the info and pics when I get it all finished.

I say your still on the stock black steel if you don't have pics. LETS SEE IT

LavaB,
Is you box lowered? It looks it. What springs? Do you like them?

My neighbors must have though I was nuts at 11PM on a wednesday night when I was under my car with a big hammer, but it's worth it.
