And boy do I like them, the ride height looks excellent for the $179 I bought the springs for. The ride quality is good, and the handling is improved a little bit.

I have a question though:
When I was putting on my right front spring, my axleshaft moved outward a bit. It didn't come out of the transmission, and I don't hear anything that I am worried about, but even so should I worry?

Anyways, Ive put like 15 miles on it since the install, and it is acting normal, I can tell the shocks are maybe not really happy on the large speedbumps I have near my neighborhood, but other than that everything seems to be good.

If anyone has any info about the axleshaft thing, I would appreciate it.

 

You should be able to just carefully push your axle back in. When I changed my springs, my hub slipped out of my hands and pulled the axle out of the tranny. It was just a careful process of lining up the splines and pushing it back in.

 

Oh yeah, it is back in, I just wanted to know if I should worry about seals or bearings. Thanks for the quick reply though.

I guess I should add that I bought them from NewScionparts.com (Carson Toyota In California), and had a great transaction with them.

we had an xA in the shop with the TRD springs , struts, and shocks. That thing handled like it was on rails.

 

You should be okay. The only thing I'd worry about is the axle boots, but with a brand new car, they're less likely to tear, crack, or come off at this point.

 

I just did a check of everything, after putting a few hundred miles on it. Everything seems to be good, and the springs have fully settled I would care to guess. Now the next move will be wheels of some sort.

TRD Springs give the xA/xB a total drop of one inch.

 

I wrote one a few weeks ago.

To answer wooky1976's question, there are no bushings or anythying included with the springs. You re-use everything other than the stock springs. The only advice I can give anyone doing this mod or putting on any other type of springs, its to index everything correctly. If you follow the DIY on here, it will guide you through the proscess just fine.

 

yeah... the rear springs are so ridiculously easy... it could make for one practical joke gone bad... come back to your car to find your friends jacked up your car and stole your rear springs

you dont even need to take the wheels off, they just pop right out... amazing!

Nothing to be scared of...your first one will take the longest, but it is a very easy mod to do.

Whats better... TRD springs or TEIN? The only reason why I want TEIN springs is because they're green and they kind of match my camo xB hehehe
