Watch on Ebay for a CF strut bar made by Reddog motorsports. I have one in the front and bought another that I modded to fit the rear. I love them and they only cost 69.95.

why in gods name would you buy a strut bar of all things over 200 bucks. That is just a plain waste of money. YOOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING
I'm sure it doesn't work any better than the dc sports, the megan racing or the hotchkiss. For 200 bucks you could buy a dc sports one and get it powder coated!!
259.99 for a strut, I THINK NOTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!

you can get a decently priced DC sports one for about 100 shipped
a megan racing one for about 70 shipped

and a hotchkiss (dealer uses this one) one for about 130 for regular, 160 for colored one (orange or yellow rs1 and rs2 edition)
oh and don't forget the GTSpec strut from partshippers.com for 135 (Really really great guy on scionlife runs this website, ordered 2 things from him and great service)

think again before you buy that thing dude, even if it is carbon fiber

You pay for the name and the quality ... JIC is a world wide name when it comes to suspension parts. The JIC quality is second to none and don't for get that brace is carbon fiber which also marks up the price.

Megan parts are crap and dont fit right ... 2 People I know have Megan exhaust and they don't fit right ... The

The Hotckis is a great bar but alot of people want something different. I changed my factory Hoctckis bar because I didn't want something that 2100 other orange scions came with.

The GT Spec is an AWSOME brace also. The only problem is the mounting brackets come in Orange and some people might not wat orange and they might not want to paint it either.

The DC bar is a great bar also and since AEM bought them the DC products have gotten alittle better in quality!

BUT as I said before some people like to buy name brand products. With I would buy a JIC brace over any other brace because I know the name and quality behind it!

Let's not forget Tanabe... also a great brand and well-priced. I agree with LavaBox. You will pay more for top-quality parts, and they are generally worth every penny. If you are looking for suspension improvements, I'm not sure I'd start with the strut brace if you are only going to add one component now. Rather, I'd look at the rear anti-sway bar or springs.

I have lots of megan parts on lots of vehicles and theyve all fit correctly and been the best deal for that part ever. I never knew they made exhaust and if they dont fit right well poo. every brand has something that doesnt fit right.

I too have a JIC strut bar and I love it! It puts all the others to shame I think. Just by looking at mine it's well worth the money compared to others. It's lite and strong. Alot of strut bars I've seen are cracking or have stress cracks in their paint.

get what brand you want, think about this argument here, your all blabbering about the one mod that will give you the least amount of increased performance. his has been discussed many times, so buy what you think looks good, i have the brace from apr, hass bb logo machined in, swuare tubing, slotted mounting brackets, and a machine finish. plus i got for less tha dirt cheap.....which made me happy

whatever validity is the =value= of a strut bar it should be equally strong in compression as it is in extension.

Of the very few that I looked at last night at the local Evolution get-together, the DC brand impressed me best: it is well-ribbed or trussed.

Carbon fiber is not stiff in compression, is it? Off-axis compresssion, I mean. Steel is unbeatable. Square tubing even -better- as the man above well knows

I was lurking around trying to find info about a cf strut bar, I just got an xb this weekend. When you go to ebay thats the only carbon fiber strut bar for the xb on ebay. I don't know how much a carbon fiber one should be.
I've heard of cusco and tanabe. Does anyone else make a carbon fiber bar? I'm kinda going for that look?

I would get the JIC ... The company is world wide and they make an AWSOME product. You will get the best quality, fitment, and performance from them.

ok, so i was at hoppupracing looking at a injen short ram and stumbled upon this!!!!!
http://www.hopupracing.com/jicmafralcaf.html
now this is a MUCH MORE REASONABLE price for this strut bar. If you were to buy the JIC magic, i would search you're options or go to the page that has all the names of the scion stores on it

we should get this stickied for all questions relating to strut bars!

Well thats all aluminum, if you want the Carbon Fiber one you have to add $52 to the price! If you click the drop down menu where it says Model: you will see the price.

oh well, didn't see that part, but oh well, i still say go with a cheaper one like the dc sports and get it painted or powdercoated, that would look so hot
