Default Need a picture of an xB with 205/45/17s on it

My friend just purchased a white xB and we're trying to find a picture of someones xB whos put 17s on it but went with 205/45/17s instead of the 215/40/17s I see on most xBs. We live in Michigan and 40 series isnt the best idea for these roads. Pics anyone?

There's not much difference in the tires. At least not a visible difference. Plus, there are much more tire choices with a 215-40 tire. I originally wanted a 205-45 but your choices are so limited. If you are concerned about rim damage, go with a 16" rim or even keep the 15's and get some aftermarket rims.

My xb has toyo 215/45/17's if that will do. If so let me know and my wife will put a picture up later. She can't do it now because she is not in the mood, as she just informed me.

You CAN tell a difference in the way it looks and it will give you extra cushion against possible wheel damage but the additional height will throw the speedo off a bit and cost a little loss of gear ratio. Prolly not enough to worry about. I'm going to that size on my next set of tires.

Default Scion Tires

Here are a couple pictures of the 215/45/17's.

There's not much clearance here and in fact, on one of these pictures you can see the wheel catching the plastic liner which I will need to address. But also, that will change with rim offset so you may not encounter this problem.

Sorry if these pictures don't work...we are still trying to figure out how to upload...

The pictures obviously didn't work, so I am waiting for the admin to answer my questions on how to upload. Any suggestions from anyone?

Nice Falken Hanabis, I've got the same rims on my tC. Your the first person other than myself that I've seen these rims on their car before. Gotta love the super light weight!
