Default what size tires should i get for 18's on my TC

alright, ive determined that my wheels will fit. im pretty sure trd shocks/springs will still be ok too . they are 18x7.5 and +42mm offset. ok, good, im golden,

however, what size tires should i be looking at? 235/40/18? 225/40/18? 235/45/18? i dont know. can i get pros and cons on what each or any other suggestions? whats the perfect fit if i do the 18's with the trd drops and stuff?

235?! wow. w/o the OTG shims, I was rubbing w/ 215's.

I have 18's and love them and love my wheel set up. however, if I had to do it over, I'd get 40's instead of 35's. it's just MO - I just like that look. just a little more meat in the wheel well. when the 35's go, I'll do 40's. I may even bite the bullet and just do 40's for the back, but then I have to deal w/ the rotation issue...

I digress.

Most wheel sites out there recommend 225/40/18 for 18x7.5 wheels for the tC. I'm buying 18's soon and that is what I'm going with. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Good luck with your wheels and post some pics.

thanks banana

i called discount tire about some 215/40/18 and he says he wont put them on because they dont meet the minimum reqs. however! he says nitto neogens will be ok because they have a reinforced sidewell

with the 225 my diameter gets larger by about a half inch and with the 215 it says just about the same. id prefer to keep the ride as good as possible, it doesnt need to be too bumpy, im from MI and our roads are crap

the neogens are 140 a peice i beleive, i wonder if they are worth to get even in the 225 size?

same place I am getting my wheels but going 18x7.5 and 18x8.5"

with some Azenis why not just pay a bit more for the offset tires

I was going neogens but they don't make 235 series

Boo!!!
