Im in the process of getting some rims for my tc and had a question about offset?
The rims i want come in a 40" and 42" offset.First off all i know what an offset it so dont jump to conclusions, i did a search and read about it and saw the picture.The thing i do admit i dont know is the number itself."I know the stock rims are a 45" offset correct me if im wrong, so does that mean the rims i want are gonna be more flush with the fender or less?So anyways i just wanted to know which offset would be better for me with trd springs.thanks

 

A smaller offset will mean your rim will be closer to the fender. Some guys are running 20mm spacers with the stock wheels, which I have been told makes the overall offset around 25.

will 20mm offset make the stock rims flush to the fenders?

 

i believe 28 is close enough. they didn't rub and the fenders weren't rolled.

This is where the guy put wheel spacers onto his stock rims, and has taken multiple pictures from different angles. It should give you a good idea of what offset to look for.
