scion owners: if you cant afford to buy some nice new or used rims please dont get cheap on us and take off the hub caps and tell people that you have black rims its just an insult to the rest of us who have scions and spent the bucks on nice wheels

I doubt that anyone riding around on stock rims is seriously trying to pass them off as aftermarket wheels. And even if they are, who cares? Some people just prefer the look of plain stock wheels over hubcaps.

agreed... steelies are fine to ride on, expecially in winter, since they are heavier than aluminum or racing wheels... (living in Denver) many drivers throw steelies on their cars for the snow season, simply because they don't want to ruin their aftermarket wheels.

funny thing is i think steelies are kool however if you actually read what i wrote you would have realized that i was speciying on how people take off the hubcap and claim to be riding on black rims. that looks ugly so please read everything twice before responding

dude ive been sportin the steelies for 5 months now, when ever someone asks i just tell em i have my rims in my garage for the winter, doesnt sound as good now that its warm,... but no worries my rims are in the mail...

I'm guessing the problem is that you are expected to notify onlookers and passers by that your factory steel rims are not custom/that you did not pay extra for them, etc.

Sort of like women with boob jobs are supposed to tell everyone that their t;ts are bought.
