Try the service department at Super Autobacs (Beach Blvd just N of the 22). Their hours are very convenient and their prices are surprisingly low.

its pretty straight forward...
one thing to remember tho, toyota put a metal plate(looks like a spacer) on top of the shock assembly, take it out when u install the bar...otherwise u cant put the nuts back on...

they made a mistake on mine, strutbar + spacer...so i had to take out the plasitc piece go around the bottom of the windshield and wiper and the motor in order to install lowering springs  damn it

actually i think you're supposed to leave that plate on there... when i installed my dc sports strut bar it stated specifically to make sure you do not remove it... its a shock plate. to get to the bolts without having to remove your windshield wiper cover you just need to raise the front of the car so the shock tower bolts drop lower so they're easier to get the nut back on to. its very tight under the hood around the shock towers so make sure you got a couple wrenches... i used an open end and a box end and a rachet just to get things moving quicker. took about 45 minutes to put my dc sports strut bar in... should only take like 20-30 minutes, i was lagging on it and learning as i went as this was the first strut bar i've ever put on a car. the wires coming from the windshield wiper cover get in the way so you gotta pop them out of their clip and move them away from the shock tower then you can start installing.
you're better off doing it yourself... the dealership will proly charge you something outrageous like 200 install.. they tried to charge me 500 to install springs, then they tried to charge me 25 to put my wheels on... for 16 lugs, i don't think 25 dollars sounds right. and 500 for spring install is way out of line, randy installed them on my car in like 40 minutes and for 40 bucks, toyota of orange told me it'd take about 5-6 hours.

its just three nuts on each tower then raise the front so the bolts drop a little, move the wires from the windshield wiper cover and install your strut bar then put the nuts back on and lower the car evenly while going back and forth tightening the bolts till they're on there tight. thats about it.

But I hate that plate, it is VERY visable with the strut bar on and looks ghetto. I took mine off. I hope I don't put my car in shock because I took off the shock plate!

Just finished the install. Took about an hour to do it. Instead of us raising the car we just dismantled the part that is on top of the towers. The Hotchkis color goes great with his Thunder cloud Metallic. Kevin, it was great meeting you. Thanks for the Coronas. If you need anything else just give me a call or ask anyone here on Scionlife. They are all great guys/girls here.

:D Yeah, but I have the JiC strut bar and it shows the plate. I love my strut bar, feel like I can tow my box with that thing.

I got the strut bar installed Sunday by Chris and his friend. Thanks again.
It looks great. I can feel the difference in steering and the front end is more solid.
