Default 5x100 = crap

What is with the 5x100 lugs we got on the tC. I can not find rims I like anywhere that will fit. Do you guys know if there is a way to change this? If so, how much work is involved, and would it be worth it, just to have a better selection of rims.

I am looking to get chrome rims. I really wanted to get M3 replicas, or these sweet ___ Giovanna's that I seen, but nothing I come across will fit my car.

Hook me up with your info if you got it. Or maybe some links to some nice chrome rims that will fit a tC.

www.tirerack.com shows 69 wheels for the tC, 16 in the "chrome" category.

you could also chrome the stock wheels, or save yourself the loss of performance and go with a lighter wheel.

No wheels in 5x100. There should be a lot as it is the same bolt pattern as the WRx, but not the STi.

5x100 is also the same as some VeeDubs. As for the M3 rims, you dont drive a M3. And I think theres adapters that changes bolt patterns.

You guys are right, there are some chrome rims out there for the tC, but I am not looking for the sporty/racing type. I am looking for something a bit more luxurious without straying too far from what will look nice on a tC.

I have already checked out those sites. And tirerack.com is very in-accurate with there filters.

Come down to Houston, I'll show you around where to shop some nice ones if you dont believe ppl above said. I have been looking for some kinda luxury looking wheels for my tC. I have found a couple, just that ppl say my wheels i have right now are too nice. So I havent switched them out yet.

Tell me what kind of wheels, maybe some pics, doesnt matter what bolt-pattern. Just show me the pics of the ones u want, I'll try to find them for you!

Here are some examples, I thinkthey will give u a look that you might want!

cars that use 5x100
-Celica: 5 lug models, 1986 and up.
-Impreza: 2002 - 2005, excludes STI (5x114.3).
-VW Golf/Jetta: 5 lug models 1993 and up.
-Audi TT: all models

Since these are fwd/awd cars, the offsets will be friendly with the TC. If you really want to be different, you can buy bolt-on spacers to use Audi/Mercedes (5x112), BMW (5x120), or Porsche (5x130) wheels, but offset will be an issue.

I encourage you to look at places that cater to these vehicles.

I've been told Neon, Cavalier, Matrix, and Corrolla (the current model) use 5x100, but I'm not sure.

You'll need to look also at the offsets of these wheels to make sure you get the ride you want...
Too much offset, or too wide a wheel will make a huge difference in how the car tracks.

here is what you need dude, should work for any 5x100 wheel, but dont take my word for it, im not totally sure

http://www.parts4vws.com/catalog/pro...umber=50255571

and offset will be an issue, these will push the wheel out even farther, like a spacer. but if you are willing to kill your handling and accelleration for some ugly "ballah" wheels, tracking and torque steer shouldn't be an issue for you, just make sure you dont rub when you hit the switches and you will be OK

another link, at the very bottom is conversions from 5x100 to 5x112 (Audi), 5x120 (BMW), and 5x130 (Porsche). the BMW and Porsche wheels are gonna have a low offset cuz they are RWD, but the Audi has a high offset bucause they use FWD/AWD

*scroll down, almost at the bottom*
