Default Alloy wheels or Steel wheels?

I have finally decided to buy the Scion xA, but I cannot decide whether to get the steel wheels or alloy wheels. Since alloy wheels, in general, are "supposedly" lighter, will this result in better acceleration and or gas mileage for the xA

Forget that, do you want it to look cool.....or not?

Check out my xA pictures and tell me if you think alloy wheels help.

The wheels most dealerships offer are overpriced and usually of bad taste. I recommend keeping the stock steelies and buying wheels somewhere else...

I'm a very satisfied Tire Rack customer!!! If you want to finance your wheel and tire upgrade just have your dealer order them for you (without markup of course) or if you get your own financing thru a credit union like I did, add the amount for rims and rubber to the total you want to borrow. Pay the dealer for the car and have $$$ for the cool rolling stock.
