if i ran 18 x 8.0 and 18 x 9.0 with 235/40R18 and 265/35R18 would i have rubbing issues? if anyone has a similar set up or could suggest a better rim wif a nice lip post up

I would think you'd have rubbing issues with the fenders if youre lowered. There is a guy on SL with 20mm H&R spacers on stock wheels (which makes it a 25mm offset), and it looks really clean.

Compared to the stock wheel (7" wide, 45mm offset):

The front wheels would extend 19mm to the outside, and 3mm to the inside.
The rear wheels would extend 31mm to the outside, and 15mm to the inside.

This is just the wheel width. The width of your tires will also matter. You'll probably have to buy slightly narrower tires and have them stretched.

24mm=1inch (roughly).
"et" is offset in mm.
lower the number, the more the wheel sticks out.

I'm currently shopping around for wheels. For the fronts I'm looking for 8" wide, et35. For the rears I want 8.5", et35. The more your wheels stick out, the less you can lower your car (unless you enjoy rubbing). If you dont have the adjustability of coilovers, then you may get screwed.

U should be straight

There are a few people here running 19x8's, 19x9's, and one guy is running 19x9.5's w/ i think a 40mm offset in the rear. None of them have any rubbing issues.

omg i'm looking into buying some wheels, but honestly, I have no friggin clue what you guys are talking about! Ok on webpages like wheelsnext.com, they list dimensions like: (225/35/19)... (again, this means nada to me) can anyone tell me what dimensions the 18'' enkeis are that come stock on the RS1.0 tC's? I lowered my car, I don't want my new wheels to rub if they're too big...soomebody help!

IM getting some 18 x 7.5's and considering 215/40/ZR18's. Will these tires fit the rims, and will they rub?

what i dont understand is when the rim is 7" wide and others are 9" wide yet they both run 215 for the width. How do you know what width tire, to get for what rim?
