What more do you expect this forum to do for you? hotbox05 offered to sell you a set, and I pointed you to a JC Whitney item. Sorry if they're both too expensive. What's wrong with using PayPal to buy what you want from hubcapkingdom? I've heard the stories about PayPal freezing accounts, but what's that got to do with you, if you're just buying something and not even keeping a balance?

i expect people to tell me about the company. that 17 page thread had a bunch of people interested in trim ring peices, but it was locked.

I offered a price to Hotbox and asked him to PM me, and he hasn't yet.

that JCW item is too expensive.

and about Paypal, i'm weary about buying from a company whose website looks like it was programmed by a 12 year old.

I guess no one reading this thread has any experience with hubcapkingdom. The amateurish website, with prominent address and phone number, gives me a better feeling than would a slick website with hard-to-find contact info. Why don't you just call them on the phone and talk to them?

The $29.95 trim rings may not be what you want, though. I'm not sure, but they look like the kind that clip onto the outside of the rim, right next to the tire. The rings I got from JC Whitney clip into the same well that the stock wheel covers use.

well, that 17 page thread about "xB's on 15" wheels" had a bunch of people commenting on trim ring peices.

so i thought it would be helpful if i post in the forum that thread was on.

but anyway, i'll check out the JCW clip.

thanks for helping, when no one else would

This is fascinating: The JC Whitney catalog, which I just got in the mail, has 15" ABS plastic trim rings, stock #WG733297A, for $27.99/set. Compare this to the part # I cited above (hint: same numbers, different prefix), which is still listed online for $35.99. Shipping charges are the same in the catalog and online.

Yeah, I think it's a good bet it's the same product. Makes sense if you think about it. Online shopping is more impulsive than catalog shopping, and online shoppers are probably on average more affluent than catalog shoppers. What doesn't make sense is they sent me the catalog because I bought online. Naturally the first thing I'm going to look for is the product I just bought.

I purchased my trim rings from Checker Auto Parts (Checker/Kragen/Schucks)http://www.cskauto.com/ and they were 11 bucks a trim ring.

This is what I found online on them from CSK but I got them from a local Checker
