Default Questions about the Tanabe DF210's

first question: how is the ride? is it bad? if so, how bad?
second question: is the clearance so low that you scrape all the time?
third question: why is it that when i look on different sites that the spring are sometimes different colors? is there any difference?

thank you

1. the ride is stiff but bearable.. i have no problem with it, better than stock!!

2. i am currently on stock wheels and with the Tanabes (df210) ..no scraping anywhere and i don't really stop for dips since the stock wheels can take the punishment..lol

3. the first sets where in pink/purpleish...
the new ones are white ... i think they changed color when the 05's came out but not sure.. either way the only thing that changed was the color , everything else is the same.

hope this helps!!!
Now drop your ride!!!

X. Because the spring rates are stiffer, the ride is obviously going to be slightly more harsh. However, like aireck said, its bearable.

X. I'm on blackouts (stock steelies) and im pretty low, the end drop was 2.2 front 2.1 rear. I can't go over alot of speed bumps around here because they are pretty high. The lowest part is my exhaust, its angled up (like almost all canister exhausts) and from the bottom of the muffler i sit roughly 4.0-4.2'' off the ground. But to actually answer your question, for the most part you won't have any scraping. My passenger side skirt on the bottom is pretty scuffed up from a speed bump, but other than that no problems. (only the side because i took it at any angle, and i ended up hitting anyway.

X. Also like aireck said, the new color is white. Mine are white. Colors doesn't have any bearing on what spring is what, don't worry.

All in all, you will be very pleased with your choice if you do go with the df210s.

Heres what i think:

Performance (based on other springs, not coilovers):
4/5

Car stance:
5/5

Comfort around town:
5/5

Comfort on long trips:
3.5/5

Overall:
5/5

Good luck! Cya

Haha, that must suck. Im 19 and still living at home, trying to get ready to move out though... My mom used to be a big muscle car tuner back in the day, so she knows what its like. As long as im not going to kill myself i don't think they care what i do, its my money anyway.

Good luck!!

I had my steelies on when i put on my df210's and it rode exactly the same to me... since i put the 17's on, the ride got worse but very bearable and very worth it for the drop... i have had no problem with scraping anywhere i just always angle it, but some people dont have good perception of distances, i travel every weekend all over Mississippi and Louisiana and even Alabama and Florida sometimes and have scraped twice in a whole year... As for the dad thing, well my dad was the same way except he said he would take the car away if i did anything to it but if your look at my profile, it didn't stop me, i just dont tell him about things until they are complete and then he grunts and walks away with this look on his face like "it is a waste of my time to tell him anything" but lately now he has been wanting me to take him to car shows with me... but good luck with your car and props on the spring decision, i love mine

I got my springs for Father's Day form my son! He said I needed to do some modding! Easy install, great ride, no scraping, but then I am old and drive slow anyways!

1. The ride is much stiffer, and less lean in the corners. The ride is only harsh over very rough roads.

2. I've never scraped, but that's only because the roads around here are nice and level......NC's boring flatness

3. The older springs were purple, but the newer ones come in the "dress up" form that are white. I have the "dress up" white ones. The white ones are a few extra bucks more though.
