Default When will salsa red be available on the xB?

I read on the changes for 2006 thread that the color changes for the xA come in with the first of the 2006's, but may be delayed on the xB till December. Others are saying the salsa and flint mica chips are listed for both xA and xB now at the dealerships. We were planning on our xB purchase this fall, but my wife really likes the idea of salsa red, (the other colors don't thrill either of us). Does anyone know when red will be available for order or delivery? Thanks all.

The same info has been going around for months but our sponsor dealer here says SR can be ordered NOW for delivery when 06's come in...so, so far I dont think anyone really knows for sure. JMHO

The other color is Shadow Mica...IMO its a little darker than the Flint Mica...its reallly nice. Im just worried about taking care of a dark car in the desert! I can't even keep my TCM one clean.

Elway Scion in Denver area does have the flint mica and salsa red paint "chips" on the showroom floor now. You can order these colors with the 06s. Flint Mica looks cool. We own a 2004 Prius in Salsa Red. I'm anxiously waiting for my BOP to get done this weekend!

Well, I received official word from a dealer here in Austin-- the 2 new colors for the '06 xB (Shadow Mica and Salsa Red Pearl) WILL NOT be available until the December PPR for January arrival.
A lot has been said on these forums about it, but I needed official confirmation
As of 7/26/05:

1F4 (Shadow Mica) and 3Q3 (Salsa Red Pearl), Two new colors for Scion xB
will be available starting with December PPR (January Arrival) and usually
these cars would be November allocations. The availability for colors 3P2
and 6M7 will end with November PPR and they will be replaced by the new
colors.

Sorry, but this is the official announcement.
Please please someone prove this wrong!!! I'll fly out to CA if I have to!

Do you mean you've seen the '06 SRP xB? Please post a picture and what dealership you've seen it!

No no, I saw the color swatches at the dealership.
When I went to change my order from a TCM to PW, I asked what was different in the '06 models.
And he showed me the flint mica and the salsa red.

Yeah, I thought that WAS wierd that the swatches would be out right away but not the actual car color.

COULD SOMEONE WITH AN '06 XB PLEASE CHECK WITH THEIR DEALER ON THIS ?? Or give me the name of the dealer and I'll call??

^^^ That's addressed to the West Coast, whose distributors get their allotments earler than we in the central area.

My dealer told me that the Salsa Red and Shadow Mica will not be in port until December. I've heard this from other sources as well.

I too wanted a Salsa Red xB, but couldn't wait until December as my current daily bomber won't likely make it until then. So I just ordered an 06 BCP. Should be in on Saturday or Monday . . . can't wait!
