Default Strutbar

Does anybody have the strut bar put in on the xb? Does it make a big difference? Is it worth it? I'm thinking about having it added.

Default .....DC STRUT TOWER BAR...

Yes, I installed the beefy DC Strut Tower bar. It was somewhat easy to install, floor jack needed. It is more beefy than the hotchicks bar. Was about $100, with shipping.
It is hard to compair the ride with and without. You can't drive both simotainously. I think it leans way less in clover ramps. I think it can handle more speed in sharper turns. One thing I like, for sure, there is an extra beefy hunk of steel between me and the crumple zone. And it sits way up high on the strut towers.
You do mean strut tower bar not lower sway bars, right?
Someday I may get the lower sway bars.

Yup, I do.
like xBHAWK says.. it does not feel like its pushing itself thru the corner anymore.
It just glides around them.
Here's mine

and there is a post under Sponsored Sales for them too!

Next time try the suspension forum. As for the strut bar, don't cheap out and get the crappy ones off Ebay. With the xB, the strut towers are so close to the firewall, it shouldn't make that much of a difference. If it were my money, I think I'd get a lower frame brace ala Cusco. Then I'd get a rear sway bar. This is assuming I've already lowered the car with quality springs. Then I'd either get rims and good quality tires, or I'd roll the stock steelies and put on some Yoko ES100s or similar tire in a 195/55/15 so as to keep the ride decent. Upper strut bar and front sway bar would be very low on my priority list, but everyone puts the suspension puzzle together differently.

^^ That is why I spent $40 on the Scion FX front strut tower bar. Its a real cheap price for what it is. The unit looks real nice & I cant wait to install it.

Edit: As for rolling a 195/55R15 tire why? Go with the 195/60R15, closer to JDM tire size + more side wall = smoother ride. Also when you get into the 55 series, the price jumps up & the tread wear falls.

I have the hotchkis strut bar, makes the car handle the turns better...Plus it helps to hold my custom painted RS2.0 mini xB...See:

Yup the DC is the best one for the money. That was one of the first mods I did and what a difference in the way it handles

DC = great! I could tell a decent amount of difference in cornering ability before and after.

I got the Megan Racing STB off eBay. I haven't seen a beefier one for less...

It seemed to make the steering feel more precise when cornering, but not a huge change, not like the Progress Rear Sway.
