Default Need Tein BASIC help!!!

Ive had my ride dropped on some BASICS for about 2 or 3 months now. And recently, whenever I go over a small bump, my back suspension will make a strange squeaking (kind of) noise. I was wondering if anybody knew what this is and if it could be fixed. Thanks to all who help!!!

On your rear suspension did you tighten the top
of the shocks to the body with an impact wrench?
If you did it by hand it ain't tight enough!

Tein specifically says not to use a impact wrench to tighten the top lug, theyre recommended torque settings for the top lug on my Tein Super Streets were 25 ft/lb for the rears and 29 ft/lb for the fronts. I did exactly that but I havent been running my coilovers long enough to see any problems. If you hear squeeking you should call up Tein and ask them what you should do. They have a location in California somewhere so it shouldnt be much trouble getting in contact with them

I had some dirt and junk in between my springs and collar up front and that made some noise.

If its more of a clunk, check the nut on the strut. Mine came loose after about 8 months of 160 miles of daily commuting..

Handles great. NOT overly stiff. Its very nice. It also provides a smoother ride than normal. HIGHLY recommended.

I opted for the Tein Super Streets. I dont know why I got them but Tein has a decent reputation and the ride is nice. Especially since you can adjust the dampening. If you're looking into coilovers, check out my sticky in the Corner Carvers (xA,xB) forum. I compiled a list of coilovers available on the market. That should help you out a lot

Suggest hose the area clean of grit and apply some silicone spray or "aluminum window lube" (spray can of waxy-liquid lubricant).
