Default A good suspension setup?

What would be a good suspension setup for...er..."togue"...i guess I could call it that...basically I like taking my car through tight technical areas (mountains roads basically...both uphill and downhill) I dont know alot about suspensions so I'd like some info and opinions.

From my naivity I'd think that this kinda of setup would be good for the kind of driving I like...

Tein S-Techs (because I have them)
Koni adjustable shocks
Tanabe front strut tower bar (because it's on its way)
Progress rear sway bar
GT Spec 4 point chassis brace
Progress Tech front alignment kit
Project Mu Brake Lines
Project Mu Brake Pads
*Insert Brand Here* slotted and/or cross drilled rotors

Is there anything that I should add/deduct or know about from that list?

I know people are going to suggest coil-overs, but to me the only thing that they have over adjustable shocks/sturts is ride height adjustment (plus it cheaper). I'm looking though for some springs that would have a rate close to or are 7kg front 8kg rear. Also, I don't know alot about the Progress Tech alignment kit, basically I want to add some negative camber to the front of my car, not to much that it wears it out faster, but that it will allow more turning ability....anyway...enlighten me people!

yer pretty set but i'd get coilovers. koni yellows are super sweet though. get every chassis brace possible. a harness bar / b pillar brace will help too.

Well,
I have your first four upgades. S-techs, Koni's (rear only), Progress and Tanabe. The only upgrade I would have done different is the strut bar. Doesn't do much. DC bar is a lot stiffer. If you are looking for totally neutral handling, I would get the OTG rear spacers as well. I think you may have a little oversteer with the combo (stiffer rear spring, stiff rear sway). My setup is pretty neutral and I'm running 30 mm wider rear track. It looks way better as well...

The reason I have the "rear only" set up is because the rear shock provides a very uncomfortable ride. It also is super simple to change out the rear after you have already installed springs. If you are looking for pure handling, I would figure you should get the full set and set it pretty stiff.....Even at 3/4 full stiff, the rear Koni's are more comfortable than stock.

the modifications is very small, your just enlarging the gap on the hook that goes into the frame very simple

it bolts up very nicely after you do that

Unlike the xB, the TRD rear brace will install easy into the xA and Echo with minimal modification. Like hornet_on_flower said, you just need to make the gaps on the hook-tabs a little bigger and "prepare" the holes to take them. Stick a screwdriver in the hole and pull downward so that side of the hole can grab the hook-tabs better.

what i did is used a large flat blade screw driver and a hammer to make the gap larger on the tab

i just don't know why they gapped it so narrow on the tab :? :? :?

I've started my suspension setup with S-Techs, OTG shims and the DC strut bar... my next items will be the Progress rear bar and Koni yellows.
Can't wait to experience this "oversteer" people keep talkin about
After that I'll look into the frame brace options available, might do some custom fab work.
