Calling all xa/xb's that are lowered on springs ONLY
Wanting to get an idea of how long people have been lowered on their stock shocks/struts/dampers.... whatever. only had these options because if people are already switching to a coilover or getting aftermarket shocks before the 4 month period, then getting springs first isnt worth it to me.
reason why im doing this is because ive been contemplating coilovers or the cup kit from h&r recently.... but now i REALLY want a digi slr.... so im thinkin about just lowering it and seeing how long that will last.

keep em coming! i think this will be a good thread for future inquiries on the subject instead of having to go through numerous threads and reading every post.
also, please offer any comments you may have on the subject.... like maybe if youve noticed the struts loosing its dampening or whatever(while also stating what you voted for).
thanks guys and gals

I have been on Gold Line Springs for 10 months and have seen no problems with the struts/shocks. Eventually I will change to Koni adjustable system, but need the $ first.
Unless you plan to slam your ride, Gold Line springs rock!

wow, thats great news. however i do plan on going as low as i can go without rubbage. probably right around a 2 inch drop cuz i was talking to a member here that was running similar specs as i will be with wheels and tires and he was fine on a 2.2f and 1.8 rear drop.... however it was on the h&r cup kit so i dont know if it will be exactly the same since the h&r struts are meant to take that lower spring rate, AND theyre shorter.
we'll see
