Default which lowering springs for xb?

i dont know if this has been touched on before.....

which springs should i go with?

i want to lower my polar xb without changing the shocks. Or at least not immediately. i'm pimpin' on a budget so something "low cost".
i also would like to know how much of a drop i can go with 18 inch wheels and 215/35/18s? Can anyone elaborate on this for me? and if anyone in the houston area would like to help me install whatever springs i get i will compensate by thoroughly getting you plastered!!!!

At 5,000 miles I lowered mine with Hotchkis (about 1.75") At 15,000 miles, I had no issues with the shocks/struts, but I changed the shocks for a softer ride.

you can get the hotchkis ones from your dealer, but i have tein s-techs in mine which i highly recommend, they are smooth riding feel great, and are just springs, so no shock or strut tower repalcement is necessary, and they only lower 1.5 or something, so it is not too low, but low enough for a sweet look, and if you want lower, but still want quality, i also recommend the tanabe df210's lower 2 incjes and ride just as good, both are around $160, depending on where you look, hope this helps

I just got Hotchkiss ones shipped for $160.00. They are supposed to give a 1.3 front drop and a 1.6 rear.

Do some searching.

Scionlife should do what Honda-tech used/still does. When you sign up you can only make 3-5 posts a day. This makes you search and read information rather than making thread # 394,593,866,319,987 entitled "What springs should I get?"

Not trying to flame you Icecold, just thinking some moderators will read this and maybe pass the idea along.

If youre on a budget, get some Goldlines.
If you are somewhat mechanical- you can do springs on an xb. There are writeups in the FAQ forum on how to install them. Check those out. You wont have issues with fender rub with springs as long as you dont buy a bad size wheel and tire combo later.

you can get a pair of monroe shocks for about $40. they can help offset any hit in ride quality from the springs without sacrificing performance.

Glad you decided on your springs. I say do a google search for a CF hood with a scoop. I know they are out there just can't remember who makes/sells it. Good luck Bro!

The Tanabe DF210's are white. I have 18 inch rims too and they are awesome.
