Default new tire wheel package rubs slightly

after much deliberation I decided to go with a 215 45/ R17, and yes I Know this is an increase in OD, it was intentional.
The MB Motoring 272 7x17 with the Kumho 711s achieved the look I was going for, but Rubs ever so lightly on the fender liner at full lock.
The rdie height is stock and will stay that way. Just info for those thinking about tires.

I went with the same rims almost a month ago. I go with painted polished or chrome?
I gots the chrome.... but I went with nanking 205/40R17 rubber. I almost went with kumo but the treadlife on the nakings is about twice the Kumo's. The guy told me realistically Id get 20K out of the Kumos.... I am warrantied to get 45K out of the nankings... the reason, Z rated (kumo) versus H (nanking). I figgured there is no way the box will get to 149mph+ any time soon so the z was really nessary.

Good choice I hope you got a good deal!

Same issue as you guys - Slight rubbing on that plastic inner wheel well piece. I am running the same size - 17x7 w/ 215/45/17's ..... I think it is CB's fault !

HahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaNOT!

Its not like i made you order those rims and tires. Besides, i got the same info from a couple of guys here on the site. Ya know what, i wouldnt change a thing, even though it does rub on the plastic a little. Heck, mine really doesnt rub anymore, 845 miles in and it barely rubs at all.

I too went with a 215/45/17 Toyo Proxies and have a 17x7 Momo Quasar 2 with 38offset and I don't have any rubbing issues at all. And I'm still running on stocks till next week. Like DJ said what offset were you guys running?
