Default +15 all around on an xB: will it fit?

I found some pretty sweet deep-dish wheels. They are 16x9, et15. Would I still want to run a 205/50/16? Would they rub?

or,

is this too extreme of an offset for an xB?

I have 16x9 +30 and 205/50-16 and OTG rear spacer shims. Major fender rolling is needed even at just 2" drop. I think the only way to fit 16x9 +15 is to go with 215/40-16 tires. I think SL member projXB has that setup.

I see.

I'm on S-techs; i'd have to be slammed for it to look right, I'd think. Otherwise with the 1" shorter sidewall, there will be extra fender gap. Looks like 16x9 +15 might be a bit extreme for me.

Yeah, you need to be slammed. I think I still need to go down about 1/4-1/2 inch up front...lol

Ironically, the rears rub more with a 2 inch drop compared to a 3 inch drop. On a 2" drop, the tires will rub the rear fenders where it meets the rear doors. That part of the fender is really thick and needs to be hammered in. On the other hand, with a 3" drop, the front rubbing becomes the problem...hah

or you could get some 205/45 tires. You shouldnt need to do too much rolling in the rear but up front...I'm not sure. But the stretch will help out.

Its nice to know that you know you need to be slammed for it to look right.

Get pics up once you get your setup together. It sounds very promising

I probably won't go with that setup. I currently have 18s, but am thinking about going with a smaller wheel/tire combo for the future. (I just took off my 18s for winter)
