Default tire/wheels combo deal for driving in the winter

Can anyone recommend any place that will give me a good deal for a set of rim and tires? I dont want to spend too much money. I will use it to drive in the winter time in Colorado. I guess i should only need 17" with good winter tires (doesnt have to be studded) that will look good on TC RS1.0.

First a couple of questions:
Do you salt your roads in colorado?
What is your spending Cap?

If salt your roads go with a set of steel wheels with some sweet spinner hub caps. LOL

My opinion save your money for something else for your car and get get something real cheap (STEEL WHEELS) I personally see no reason to go out and buy $700 worth of wheels/ tires for your car for winter when you can buy a whole winter beater car for that much or less!

Anyway thats my .02

I just looked on ebay till I found a set of used Celica GT-S rims that needed refinishing. I paid a little under 50 bucks for all 4 with no center caps and the guy let me pick them up to save on shipping. I got 2 used winter tires in a 205/55 16 and 2 all seasons for 40 bucks. I did the refinishing myself and put $15 bucks worth of paint and sanpaper into them. The center caps from the tc rims fit right in so I didn't have to buy new ones. Tire mounting cost me 36 Total comes to around 141 and I have myself a nice set of winter rims that I may end up using on a more permanent basis due to looks and tire cost.

Check out the "Winter Tire & Wheel Packages" sticky at the top of the T&B forum for a lot more info on this topic.
