So, I hit a pot hole the size of Montana the other day and warped the s h i t out of one of my rims. As it turns out they company who makes the wheel discontinued that model and I can't find one anywhere. So, I purchased some trim rings and chrome lugs, waxed up the ride and now I am all set for winter.









and this is my new piece. bring it with the buckwheat in a head lock jokes...

 

Sucks about the pothole. I'm about to put my winter wheels and tire on my car soon also. It's that time of year for potholes and sand

Where did you buy the trim rings?

There is a local store where I live called Benny's. I was there to get something, I forget, but saw that they had 15in chrome trim rings. They were 6.00 bucks a pop.
Not bad. Then I read a thread that gave the part number for the lugs from pepboys online store. Searched and ordered. I believe the chrome lugs were like 25.00 for all 16. BTW, I ended up putting 3 coats of gloss black on the steal wheel to give it a little shine. I didn't like the way it looked with the dull black.

 

Thanks man. Yea, on the other side of that arm I have a Maori piece that goes from the top of my shoulder to just above my elbow. Now that I have the new piece on the inside of my arm, I want to tie it all together but I am not sure what to go with. This could get expensive

I like the chrome ring look and chrome lugs------I think you stumbled onto something of a "unique" look that will catch on with other xB owners. It sure is a cheap way to go for an expensive look. PJRACER

Well, I didn't quite stumble upon this idea. I kept seeing other members rides on the forums who had done the same thing and figured what the hell, I hate hub caps so I may as well do this for my winter set up. At first I thought it was ultra ghetto, but it has grown on me.

Alright, so I ended up purchasing a set of 15 x 7 wheels for winter use and as a result I will be getting rid of my chrome trim rings / lugs. Whoever PMs me first gets em. I am asking 40.00 for the rings and lugs. That does not include shipping.
I am going to post this in the classifies section as well.
