rim size?
this probably isnt the "correct" place to put this, but oh well.. i'm looking into rims for my xB.. i have a budget of $1000 MAX.. i really would prefer 18's, but 17's are acceptable
i have a few questions about the sizes and such..
what is the widest i can run without scraping while turnins as sharp as i possibly can?
what tire size would be best on 18's, or 17's?
what is the lug pattern? 4x100?
last, do any of you have any recomendations? i really like the MOD visions, but the cheapest quote i got was 1500 on 17's, and 1900 on 18's.
another rim i like, but is a little more then i can afford to spend. they are $1299 with tires, shipped.(not to mention i dont know if they have the correct lug pattern) is the Kobe Matrix

I got this from modconcept themselves when i contacted them about wheels. You should have no problem getting the wheels you want, plus tires in your budget.
I think they are like 140 a rim for Visions

Accordian,
here is a topics regarding wheels.

if you need to roll your fenders.

Get the right offset and you should be OK.
I also recommend you to get some shims to push your rear wheels out to be flush with the body. You can get the shims from Van at http://www.onetongarage.com
Hope this helps

i definately will! i'm still waiting on the dealership to get the struts, so i can finally get it lowered too..
when i ordered the wheels, it didnt charge me for tax, but it charged me 35ish for shipping.. my parents live pretty close to the apwheels.com wearhouse<sp?>, so he said he was going to use the shipping cost to cover tax, and drop them off on wednesday!
i talked to him about getting some tires as well, but he couldnt think of any off hand that would fit my budget.. i'm going to get in touch with him tomorrow to see if he was able to find any in my price range,.. if so, i'll have him hold off on delivering them wednesday.. i'll wait to get the tires, have them mount and balence them, then deliver them to me. now i just need some spacers and lug nuts
i can wait on the spacers, but the nuts are kinda crucial
dont want to get my new wheels to get stolen! do you know any places offhand that have locking lugs for a good price?
I don't know about the locking lug nuts, i got mine when buying my rims. The spacers however. I'd send Van at www.onetongarage.com and email.
Just tell him your offset of the rims and he'll hook you up. One Ton Garage is highly recommended by many scion owners, and Van sends you the stuff fast.
Wish i could be more help on the lug nuts..sorry
