Being a Mod, ive search this a bzillion times and the best i can come up with was a post by Travst saying that the sides come off by removing the end caps (done) and then getting rid of the bolts (done) and the pulling off releasing plastic rivets. Now for the sides, which way should I be pulling? Pull down away from door? Pull out away from car? I really dont want to screw this up. Then for rear, I have no idea how to get that lip off. Any help you can give me would be awesome for getting side and rear lip off. More info the better, and pictures are the best. Once I get this all done, I WILL be doing a write up on this so there isnt 50 bzillion threads on this with no answer!

dont you have access to the service manuals being a mod? I would think it would show you there in those...

 

Well as a fellow up on this. I just took my rear skirt and sides off recently. Its very simple if someone needs help. The sides are 2 simple bolts under the caps. Then look under the skirt and find I would say 8-10 black caps and pop those out. Then carefully and simply pull off the skirt. Onto the back. Remove your bumper with 1 screw on the edge of each fender. Also 4 inside the hatch. 2 under the car. Once you get it off you will see several pop clips you need to take off and then just clip the bottom lip away from the bumper and your done. Very simple once your doing it.

yep got all my body kit off last week and shipped off.

it was rough gettin the rear lip off since its so low, but i got it done and it was okay. i took some pics during the process and ill work on starting a how to.

and vintage, ill send you pics. i would really like it if they DIDNT get posted here though. ill send them in a sec. just keep them to yourself if at all possible.

Thanks. You know, I really don't mind how the side looks without the lip kit. Now the rear on the other hand. Something definitely needs to be down there.

What about the front? Does anyone have a pic of an xB without the front lip on it?
