A little over a year ago I bought a set of 4 wheels and 4 tires from Discount Tire Direct's web site. Stupidly (to save money) I didn't buy the replacement warranty. Well, yesterday I found out that I have a nail in the sidewall of one of them. Tire shops will not repair sidewall punctures, so I'm stuck having to buy a new tire.
This morning I called Discount Tire and explained it to them. The sales person offered to sell me a replacement tire at half price plus sell me the replacment coverage for all 4 of my tires! So for $75 I'm getting my new tire and the warranty for all of them. I was real happy with the price and service that I got from them a year ago, but this is makes me verry glad I bought from them. I'll be a customer again for sure.

 

I read the other post you did and wondered if Discount would honor something. I'm glad to see that they helped you out.

 

Yeah, I was surprised that they would be willing to warranty 3 tires that I've already had for a year. It's one thing when an internet business offers great prices, but those guys really have great service too.

Yes, it could play tricks on the VSS and Trac. control.
Also, I'm sure they will warranty tires that are worn because they pro-rate the warranty. They seem to be a good place though but they don't have any stores in my neck of the woods.

Yeah I too am a discount fan, I have ordered numerous things on their site... shipping and packaging is always first rate. A+ in my book.

Discount Tires is Great! Ordered my wheels and tires on a Thursday evening had a tracking number Friday morning. I was also unsure as to how the wheels and tires would look on my car, and I expressed this to the guy, I said "I suppose once you guys mount and balance them there mine right" the guy says "no way man, if you dont like them send them back....no restocking fee, we want you to be %100 happy, as a matter of fact go ahead and stick them on the vehicle, just dont drive on them" He also told me that since it was winter here that if I wanted to wait until spring to check them out they would still take them back if I did not like them. This is how customer service/businesses should be.

 

Over the years I've bought a lot of tires, and many of my tires and wheels came from Discount Tire (brick and mortar shop, not internet). Their customer service, prices, and work quality have always been very good.

Glad to see they haven't changed!

 

Not so my man -- the warranty they sell is a full free replacement for the life of the
tire, not pro-rated.

 

Dont forget you get free tire rotations for the life of your tires. Great company....there selling me my wheels this week!

don't forget to purchase the rotation / balancing package from the American Discount Tires store

yeah if you buy any tires form discont tires you get free rotations, free balance, free flat repairs, and air checks. and if you do buy the free replacements its good for the life of tire they replace the tire for free. and pro rated means you get credit on whats left of the tire if the tire is not repairalbe. i've been working there for three years now so i you guys have any question just ask ill be more than happy to answer
